The new trade union website of China at workercn.cn has opened just before the 15th National Congress of Chinese Trade Unions to be held on October 17 to 21 in Beijing.
As a comprehensive news website, workercn.cn will focus on news of trade unions with three subsites being "the work of trade unions","rights", and "people", and 58 columns such as model workers and rights online.
The "rights" channel includes eight columns, and will promote and popularize related policies, laws and regulations to open up the Internet channel for employees to protect their own legitimate rights and interests.
The vice chairwoman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions Sun Chunlan stated that the reason for the website is the need to unite trade unions of all levels and to serve employees around China.
