The Fire Protection Department of the Chinese Ministry of Public Security is soliciting opinions on the Occupational Health Standard for Firemen which is due to be published soon.
FOHS aims to protect firemen's health during their occupational activities and hence ensure that they can meet the requirements of the service by making stipulations for health conditions, health management, health monitoring, personal protection, health records, health evaluation, medical service and health promotion.
So far, the department has undertaken the first five stages of the process: research, initiation, study, drafting, and soliciting opinions.
