Up to one hundred construction workers gathered at Gome Capital's headquarters in Pengrun Building in Beijing, asking for salary payments.
According to the workers, Gome Capital owed over CNY10 million to up to 400 construction workers. However, Yu Boda, general manager of Gome Capital Construction and Development Company, said the company already paid the workers' salary to the construction company, China Construction 8th Engineering Division and would coordinate with the latter in paying the workers as soon as possible.
So far, China Construction 8th Engineering Division has not made any comment on the issue.
Affiliated to Pengrun Real Estate Group, Beijing Gome Capital Construction and Development is one of the largest real estate developers in China.
