NGOs Call For Water Conservation

Over 20 non-governmental organizations including Green Earth Volunteers have issued an open letter, calling on the public to pay more attention to water conservation efforts during the drought in many provinces in northern China.

Wang Yongchen, a representative from Green Earth Volunteers, said that NGOs have always been appealing for people to save water, but many people still have not realized the real threat of the water crisis. Wang said that while the government is striving to solve the drought problem, the general public should also start doing something about water conservation.

In the proposal letter, the NGOs call on the public to save water starting from small daily actions, such as turning off the water taps when brushing teeth or soaping hands; flushing toilets or cleaning the floors with recycled water; and shortening the time taken for bathing. Wang said though all these suggestions seem to be obvious it would make a significant difference if everyone did accordingly.

It is reported that besides the open letter, the NGOs will also carry out a series of activities to promote water conservation and the proper use of water resources.

I am interested in the list of NGO's who are working in this field. I have a simple and cheap device that is already saving 2.18 billion liters a day in the USA.
Could you forward your contacts to me?
