We have bought a terra-cota qin warrior at DAQIN TERRA-COTTA & LAQUER FURNITURE ART FACTORY on 15 October 2011. We signed a sales contract that mentions delivery to final destination. We payed for that delivery RMB 2000.- (us$ 316).
Now that the item is near to arrive, we received a landing bill stating that the port costs are at the customers account. It is US$ 300.-, the half of the price of the bought item.
What ca be done?
What is true is that on the contract there is only a statement that says "final destination" and the cost for that.
It is not mentioned that the port costs are included but nor that they are not.
In other words, an ordinary Chinese scam.
Any ideas what to do?
Thanks.

I would raise a claim against Umibuy, a wholesale internet shop from Shenzhen,
Address: B502, No.6, Lane 9, Shangsha Longqiu Village, Futian District
City: Shenzhen
Province: Guangdong
Country: China
Postcode: 518000
Phone: 15817420740
Responsible person: Mr. Junhui Sun

Explanation:
They send me a wrong type of tablet PC and even that didn't function well.
After long correspondence, we agree about substitute and they ask me to send Tablet PC back.
I have sent back the item (as agreed) back to Umibuy on March 10. They didn't want to confirm receiving of shipment, and they didn’t' send me back the agreed substitute, therefore I have asked our Post to start the Inquiry. Now I have The Post Inquiry document, which shows with no doubt, that they have received the package on March 25.
I have sent a copy of this document to Umibuy, and I have asked to send me the agreed substitute, but since that, they are not answering to my e-mails.
I find out that they are also not paying social security for their employees; therefore many girls (with degree in English language) recently left this company.
If you need additional information or documents, please contact me.
If there is still some integrity in China I woulld expect help.

I would also like to report hotdealmart.com for fraud.
The site is now "gone" and they do not reply on mail anymore. I have paid for products and they promised them within 2 weeks, after that they did not replay on mails anymore.
I need help to go after them and claim my money back. I have all necessary documentation

How do I get compensation from Daqin Terracotta & Lacquer Furniture Art Factory In Xian, who have seen photos of a Lacquer Jewellery Chest which has many defects and the art work is not of the colour ordered. They did agree to pay 50% compensation but after 10 weeks of correspondence they now refuse to answer my e-mails and have not paid the compensation.
I live in the U.K. I would like a police in Xian e-mail address.
