An environmentally-friendly high-tech paper project has been launched jointly by Inner Mongolia Jingfeng Environmentally-friendly Stone Paper Company and Hong Kong Lung Meng Environmental Friendly Paper Group Company in Zhunge'er Economic Development Zone in Inner Mongolia.
With a total investment of CNY6 billion, the project is expected to be put into operation in May 2010.
Du Jinmei, the president of Inner Mongolia Jingfeng Environmentally-friendly Stone Paper Company, stated that the project would feature a planned production capacity of 720,000 tons annually.
It is understood that the main material used in the project is calcium carbonate, rather than wood pulp, and the whole production process is said to be energy-saving, environmentally-friendly, and pollution-free.
