Chinese Ministry Punishes Rogue Social Organizations

China's Ministry of Civil Affairs has issued punishments including warnings and a suspension of operation to 12 social organizations.
The 12 organizations are said to be the China Culture Administration Society, the China Ordnance Industry Sports Association; the China Food Culture Research Association; the China Research Association on the Ideological and Political Work Of Staff of the Petroleum Industry; China Shaolin Painting and Calligraphy Research Association; Chinese Business History Society; China Peking Opera Cheng Style Art Research Association; the Chinese Association of Mongolian History; the China Senior Lawyers Association; China Pharmaceutical Enterprise Development and Promotion Association; China National Conditions Research Society; and the China Life Sciences Society.
The first six have been warned by MCA and the last six have been asked to stop their operations for six months.
MCA says that these parties did not accept relevant checks and supervisions. They did not participate in the annual inspection or failed to pass their respective inspections.
