China's Ministry of Health has promulgated a report which shows that eight water quality processors products fail to meet standards due to excessive bacteria colonies found during soaking tests.
Following a request from the Ministry of Health, local health departments various levels conducted a spot check on chemicals used in drinking water treatment, drinking water tubes, and water quality processing products. They found that 38 water plants and water quality processors of tap water used unqualified chemicals (mainly chemicals with excessive heavy metals) for water treatment or they didn't have a valid sanitation license; six types of water tubes had problems with excessive bacteria, and eight kinds of water quality processors were substandard due to bacteria colonies.
The eight unqualified water quality processors are reported to be Tiannian brand HU-50 Multifunctional Water Maker made by Ou'ai Shuiji Environmental Technology Company, Binte'r brand SFT-0618 soft water machine made by Suzhou Binte'r Water Processing Company, Xianfeng brand SFJ-0602 water softener and purifier made by Ningbo Qingqing Environmental-friendly Electrical Appliance Company, Aucma brand AJ-01Y water softener and purifier made by Ningbo Yingshida Water Purifying Equipment Company, Xiameng brand SM-176 water softener and purifier made by Cixi Xiameng Electrical Appliance Company, Angel brand JY-10C water softener and purifier made by Shenzhen Angel Drinking Water Industry Group Company, Midea brand MU-3(860CB) water softener and purifier made by Guangdong Midea Electrical Appliance Manufacturing Company, and Haomei brand HJL-618 household use water maker made by Shenzhen Huayuan Plastic Products Company.
