The China National Health Association's Water for Health Commission was formally set up on World Water Day on March 22, 2010.
Composed of members from the government and social welfare departments, water bottlers, utilities, and others engaged in the water business, the Water for Health Commission aims to popularize drinking water safety, strengthen self-discipline in the industry, report industry issues, and protect the interests of both water enterprises and consumers while enhancing the supervision of the water products industry.
The commission will focus on areas dominated by ethnic minorities, rural areas, and schools; and it will work to promote the health benefits of drinking water.
