Beijing Capital Airlines Company has announced that it would team up with the United Nations Children's Fund to launch in-flight charity sales, in a bid to help the nation's poor children.

The charity sales, which are scheduled to kick off on September 1, 2010, will mainly involve sales of gifts and greeting cards during flights and over the Internet.

The carrier says that the funds from the sales will be donated to UNICEF to support its child health security, child education and child protection programs in China.
