Cher Wang, chairman for VIA Technologies and HTC, has announced plans to set up the third Faith Hope Love Foundation in Taiwan.
According to reports in Taiwanese local media, with an investment of about CNY222 million, the new Faith Hope Love Foundation will be based on top technical platforms to provide a more convenient learning environment to the next generation in Taiwan.
The former two Faith Hope Love foundations established by Wang are affiliated to VIA Technologies and HTC, respectively. The new foundation will focus on the improvement of educational environments, but its full actual operating model is still under discussion.
VIA Technologies said that they want to offer innovation and competitiveness instead of scholarships or venture capital funds to the next generation in Taiwan. The company also revealed that the new foundation, with the aim to train more talents with innovation abilities, will still be chaired by Wang.
