Oracle China has formally initiated a 2007 Graduate Development Plan for college graduates and a 2007 Internship Program for undergraduates as part of its commitment to training technology talents in China.

Oracle China's Graduate Development Plan is aimed at providing a two-year practice period for those newly graduated college students, master degree holders and doctoral degree holders. So far, Oracle China has promoted this program at 28 universities in cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Shenyang, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Dalian and Shenzhen.

The company has already selected 100 candidates from more than 8000 applicants to join in a training program which is to be started in July 2007. In addition, Oracle China will recruit 100 newly graduated students to join the company's development team.

Oracle China's 2007 Internship Program is a useful complement to the graduate development plan and it is also an extension of Oracle's cooperation with China's Ministry of Education and institutes of higher learning. Under this program, Oracle China provides three-month internships to undergraduate students to enrich their knowledge and offer them necessary skills.

Separately, Oracle's global support service center in Dalian will also cooperate with local universities to provide internship opportunities for the undergraduates there.

Li Hanzhang, general manager of Oracle China, says that as the largest enterprise software company in the world, Oracle attaches great importance to the China market and their goal is to make due contributions to China's informationization, software industry development and personnel training.
