In order to guarantee smooth traffic during a special period called "Good Luck Beijing", where the air quality will be tested in China's capital city, China's Ministry of Public Security is working hard to ensure compliance among Beijing's citizens and neighbors.
The Ministry of Public Security has reportedly been working with the six provinces and cities neighboring Beijing to coordinate work on Beijing's testing of the air quality. Local media report the six regions of Tianjin, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Shandong said they would offer full support to the test.
The environment and traffic test will be conducted between 06:00 and 24:00 every day from August 17 to 20, with a focus on the influence of automobile exhaust on air quality and automobile influence on the traffic. To ensure the test can be completed successfully, Beijing will temporarily limit vehicles entering the city.
Beijing Traffic Management Department reminds drivers from out of Beijing to try to reduce their driving to the city during the four-day test, prepare relevant certificates if they truly have to come to the city and pay attention to the traffic department's measures on traffic limitations.
