The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has granted the first batch of small funds for the post-disaster psycho-social programs of five organizations including Gansu Wenxian Post-disaster Rebuilding and Poverty Alleviation and Development Promotion Council, and the Doujiangyan Mother's Home.

A forest-based carbon sink project in China's Sichuan province, which is said to be the world's first climate, community and biodiversity based forest carbon sink project, has been successfully registered at the CDM Council of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
