U.S.-based United Against Nuclear Iran has applauded China's Huawei for ending its bid to seek new business in Iran.

Huawei's 2009 annual report shows that by the end of the year, the company had paid a total of CNY68.5 billion taxes and that it was actively fulfilling its social responsibilities.

Huawei Technologies in India has decided to financially aid Deepalaya, a non-government development organization working on issues affecting the urban and rural poor, with a special focus on children.

A spokesman for Huawei Technologies, which was accused of illegal employment practices by the Indian Government, said to local media that the company has already received the letter by Indian Government, and it has begun to deal with the problems the Indian Ministry of Labor and Employment had mentioned in that letter.

Huawei Technologies, a well-known Chinese telecom company, has been accused of illegally employing a large number of Chinese workers in India without proper work permits and not paying income tax to the Indian Government.
