    China's Ministry of Environmental Protection has fined Guangdong Power Grid Corporation RMB200,000 and asked it to stop using the two construction projects in Maoming and Zhanjiang that were built without approval and put into operation without undergoing relevant environmental inspections.

    British Airways took fresh steps to intensify its work in limiting aviation's impact on climate change by unveiling a new carbon offset scheme. Customers offsetting their flight emissions will be supporting a new wind farm in China's Ningxia province, as well as run-of-the-river hydroelectric plants in China's Gansu province and Brazil's Santa Catarina region.
