Mobile phone giant Nokia has signed an agreement with China Talent Group saying that Nokia will provide jobs to 500 migrant workers in China after they receive professional training at CTG.

Nokia's distributors have submitted a report to China's National Development and Reform Commission, State Administration of Taxation and State Administration for Industry and Commerce which alleges how Nokia has been involved in tax evasion and tax fraud in China.

Mobile phone giant Nokia has announced that it will cut 1,700 jobs globally and the that company's operation in China could also be affected.

A report released by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Industry and Commerce showed that one type of Nokia battery made by Sanyo was substandard.

Nokia, together with the China Youth Development Foundation, has granted Nokia College Scholarships at Huazhong Normal University to 40 students with good academic performance and poor families.
