The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has formally initiated a program to provide fund assistance to 10,000 people who live in extreme poverty in China.

Chinese premier Wen Jiabao said when he visited Beihang University this past week that the government had given top priority to college graduates' employment and would draw up some effective measures to ensure that all students can have a job.

Ye Bingquan, director of Macau's Social Welfare Bureau, told the media that the SWB had started drafting relevant measures to offer economic support to the unemployed and poor.

The Beijing Municipal Labor and Social Security Bureau said that next year it would strengthen its efforts to encourage enterprises to hire the unemployed and various measures would be taken to make the hiring of the unemployed account for more than half of an enterprises' total hiring.

On June 1, Henan government issued "View on the Implementation of Promoting Employment", which states that enterprises that employ disabled persons can get a loan of CNY2 million.
