Zhejiang Electric Power Corporation Issues CSR Report

Zhejiang Electric Power Corporation has released the first corporate social responsibility report in State Grid Corporation of China system since the enforcement of "Guidelines to State Grid Corporation of China on Fulfilling Social Responsibility".

Compared with "Report of Fulfillment for Social Responsibility 2006" released in February 2007, this report covers more areas such as corporate management, social responsibility indicator and stakeholders.

As a key state-owned enterprise concerning Zhejiang's energy security and national economy, ZEPC says it has been fulfilling corporate social responsibilities of scientific development, safe power supply, excellent management, technological innovation, communications, international operation, high-quality service, employee development, win-win cooperation, rural services, environmental protection and corporate citizenship responsibility, improving satisfaction of stakeholders, and making contributions to social and economic development of Zhejiang province.

In 2007, ZEPC completed a fixed investment of CNY14.1 billion, and achieved a main business income of CNY93.887 billion. All the projects have been put into operation and economic benefits have reached new historical highs. For public welfare, ZEPC has donated CNY11.9 million, offered 880 jobs to fresh graduates, and has organized volunteer activities involving of 11,412 manhours.
