GE Healthcare in Asia has released Centricity PACS Web Diagnostic, a new Web-based diagnostic viewer that will bring comprehensive detailed patient history to a single patient folder.

The new Web Diagnostic solution is tightly integrated to Centricity RIS/ PACS and uses the powerful engine from PACS IW. Building on existing enterprise connectivity and comprehensive infrastructure of Centricity PACS, it provides an enterprise-wide archive, using state-of the art EMC storage technology, for access to any type of image in one complete platform. Centricity PACS seamlessly integrates with RIS and EMR solutions to reduce paper.

"Whether clinicians are sending exams to reading groups or reading exams outside the four walls of the hospital or imaging center, there is a common need for fast anytime, anywhere access to patient studies, history and results," said Don Woodlock, vice president and global general manager at the GE Healthcare IT Imaging Solutions Group.

With Centricity PACS Web diagnostic, radiologists and specialists can quickly access powerful clinical tool sets, such as advanced visualization and mammography, from virtually any location. Historically, these tools sets were only available on dedicated workstation, decreasing the radiologists' productivity and limiting the radiologists' mobility.
