According to the Beijing Tourism Administration, nine Beijing travel agencies were the targets of complaints by tourists in August because of downgraded services or additional charges from booked trips.

The nine travel agencies are reported to be Beijing Beiqi International Travel Agency, Beijing Zhongqiao International Travel Company, Zhongguo Shanshui Travel Agency, Beijing Chengjin Travel Agency, Beijing Shiji Zhilv Travel Agency, Beijing Shiji Jinhui Travel Agency, Beijing Beizhen Guanjian International Travel Agency, Zhongtang International Travel Agency and Beijing Yatai Jiariyuan Travel Agency.

BTA says tourists can raise a complaint against relevant travel agencies at the Quality Supervision Department to which the travel agency is registered within 90 days of the day of the infringement, or they may need to solve the problem by other means. In addition, tourists should provide travel contracts, service invoices, receipts or itineraries as evidence when lodging a complaint.
