Nanjing Will Establish Low Income Family Certification & Management Center

Nanjing plans to set up a Low Income Family Certification & Management Center to be responsible for surveying and certifying the city's low-income household and households that live on the minimum financial subsidy.

Nanjing began to provide housing guaranty for low-income families in 2001. At that time, the certification of the low-income groups was done by the local civil affairs department. The new Low Income Family Certification & Management Center will now take over the task and only families and households that have been certified by Low Income Family Certification & Management Center are eligible to receive the house or fund subsidy from the House Management Department.

The income of members of the low-income family should not be higher than the local minimum salary standard, or they won't be qualified to get the subsidy.
