Intel is working with China's Ministry of Culture and top netcafes in Beijing to launch a "Netcafe New Culture Movement", a campaign to push sustainable netcafe rules.

Jin Binguo, chief marketing officer of Intel, says that as the main agent for spreading Internet technology and information in China, netcafes play an important role in popularizing network culture in China.

Li Wei, from Ministry of Culture, says that there are 30 million people in China who surf online each day. The purpose of organizing this netcafe new culture movement is to foster the healthy development of netcafes by integrating hardware manufacturers with software providers.

Earlier this month, the Beijing Municipal Culture Department issued warnings to 12 netcafes who illegally accepted teenagers into their businesses. Each netcafe proprietor was fined RMB15000.
