Metro has also introduced its plan to charge shoppers for shopping bag on charge methods, while Wal-Mart launched its plan last year to sell canvas shopping bags at low prices.<\/p>\n<p>At the Rainbow supermarkets, customers can also purchase a fashionable shopping bag for RMB1 when they spend over RMB100.<\/p>\n<p>According to the China Retail and Franchise Association, the shopping bags consumed in the entire supermarket industry are worth RMB5 billion every year.
