Local media reports that after training, these energy police will be sent to check energy consumption at office buildings, hotels, shopping malls and supermarkets which are known as big energy consumers. They will remind the organizations to adjust their air conditioners according to the national standard. In addition, they will teach energy-saving skills and energy-saving awareness to communities and families.<\/p>\n<p>Air conditioners reportedly consume 30-35% of the electricity in Yangzhou during summer time and the proportion is still on the increase.
