Chen Deming, deputy director of National Development and Reform Commission, has told local media that China would invest a total of RMB2000 million before 2020 to complete tasks put forward in the country's Renewable Energy Middle and Long-term Development Plan.<\/p>\n

China's Renewable Energy Middle and Long Term Development Plan outlines the general goals for developing renewable energy in the next 15 years. It includes increasing the proportion of renewable energy in the total energy consumption, solving the electricity and fuel shortage in rural areas, promoting the utilization of organic runoff and pushing forward the industrial development of renewable technology.<\/p>\n

Chen said that in the coming years, China would mainly focus on water power, biomass energy, wind power and solar power in developing its renewable energy plans. Chen says that by 2020, China would build 300 million KW water power, 30 million KW wind power, 30 million KW biomass energy and 1.8 million KW solar power.<\/p>\n

Chen also disclosed that the Chinese government would adopt policies such as preferential electricity prices, fee apportionments, funds support and taxation to actively support the technology progress and development of the renewable energy sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
