Beijing Morning Paper reports that Beijing has offered free flu vaccines to more than 14000 people and the municipal health department has asked students from schools for migrant workers' children to come to receive vaccinations using their student card or temporary residence card in Beijing.<\/p>\n
According to the statistics of Beijing Municipal Health Department, until October 16, 14023 people had been vaccinated with the flu vaccine, free of charge. Zhao Tao, director of BMHD, says that everything is going smoothly on the vaccination process. He says BMHD offers a RMB20 discount policy for primary and middle school students this year, and students from the schools of migrant workers' children can also enjoy the preferential policy if they come to vaccinate with their student card or temporary resident card.<\/p>\n
Senior citizens who are over 60 years old and have a Beijing permanent household registration, are vaccinated free of charge.<\/p>\n
The free vaccination reportedly will last until November 15. Until this date, all the 575 clinics responsible for the vaccinations are open all day to serve the citizens.
