Xi'an Municipal Health Supervision Department says that they will take measures to ensure food safety during the Chinese New Year and will conduct a thorough check on hotels and restaurants across the city on February 6, 2008, the eve of the Spring Festival.<\/p>\n
XMHSD has issued a circular, asking hotels and restaurants that offer New Year's Eve dinners to consumers to guarantee their food safety by setting up a special food sanitation management department to carry out the relevant sanitation rules, and in the meantime control possible contamination during food processing to eliminate risks of food poisoning.<\/p>\n
