In keeping with these revolutionary solutions, last year BaySystems set the benchmark for eco-refurbishment in China with its contribution to the renovation of the Sino-German GTZ Tangshan project and Tongji University's Wenyuan Building. A total of 3,600 square meters of the roof, walls and floor of the centre, the east and west entrance lobby and the staircases of the Wenyuan Building were covered with polyurethane rigid foam. The result is a highly energy efficient performance of the office building, which more than satisfies the Chinese governments's ambitious targets for cutting energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions.<\/p>\n
In addition to its work in eco-refurbishment, BaySystems continues to sustain its record as a pioneer in the industry by offering state-of-the-art new technologies that pave the way for energy conservation. Gas phase phosgenation for example, developed by Bayer MaterialScience, is an innovative and unrivalled process technology for manufacturing toluene diisocyanate.
