Beijing's industrial and commercial government departments are signing agreements with businesses under their jurisdiction to strengthen the protection of Olympic symbols and to destroy fake goods.<\/p>\n
Among them, Chongwen District's Industrial and Commercial Department has signed a proposal with major businesses on Tiyuguan Road on intellectual property right protection, and Chaoyang District's Industrial and Commercial Department Tuanjiehu Branch has organized intellectual property training sessions for businesses and signed pledge letters with them on the Olympic symbol protection.<\/p>\n
\"We sign with the businesses to propagandize the significance of protecting the Olympics intellectual property rights, and to further clarify the businesses' responsibilities, \" says a representative from Haidian Industrial and Commercial Department, which has recently signed up more than 1000 businesses for intellectual property rights protection.<\/p>\n
In addition to enlarging the propaganda surrounding intellectual property right protection, each of the industrial and commercial departments has enhanced their efforts in cracking down on fake goods. According to a representative from Chongwen Industrial and Commercial Department introduces, they've confiscated about 130,000 pieces of fake goods in the recent two years, with such famous brand as Adidas, Nike, LV, Gucci and Omega. Xicheng District's Industrial and Commercial Department has also identified 38 sellers of fake clothes and seized more than 200 pieces of clothing with counterfeit labels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
