The First West China Photovoltaic Forum was held in Shuangliu, Chengdu this past week.<\/p>\n
Seventeen programs totaling CNY14.5 billion were signed that concentrated on Chengdu, which is also the biggest group of deals signed since the Sichuan Earthquake.<\/p>\n
Of all the signed contracts, three were about logistics, nine programs including ultra clear glass, and leadless glass power of Yibin Global Group Company was the largest concentrated industrial program with a total investment of CNY10.9 billion.<\/p>\n
Shuangliu has planned to construct a photovoltaic industrial park since 2004. It has already introduced many photovoltaic companies such as Apollo and Taney and aims to be the most influential photovoltaic industry zone in West China.<\/p>\n
Sichuan has great advantages to develop photovoltaic industry. First, the rich hydro electricity and polysilicon production guarantee the energy and material supply. Second, 80% of silicon talents are from institutes and colleges in Sichuan.
