The Cowry and Hover models built by Great Wall Motor Company Limited have passed certification by China Environmental Labelling, and obtained \"China Environmental Labelling Product Certificate\" awarded by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.<\/p>\n
This makes Great Wall the first independent brand to pass the certification. Before that, only a few joint venture brands such as Volkswagen and Audi passed the certification. Cowry and Hover are both developed independently by Great Wall.<\/p>\n
Certification of Environmental Standards is promulgated by Ministry of Environmental Protection as industrial standards, and has been recognized by international environmental organizations. Among them, environmental standards for motor vehicles are mainly focused on quality of the whole car and production environment. Products that have passed the certification could affix the green China Environmental Labelling mark, and will be brought into the government procurement list.<\/p>\n
In recent years, China's motor vehicle environmental label certificate has established technology communication platform with United Nations Environment Programme, International Organization for Standardization, and other international organizations, and signed cooperative agreements with environmental label institutions in Japan, Germany and South Korea, which eliminates green technical barriers in the exporting of these products.<\/p>\n
