Pepsico China has donated CNY200,000 to Guang'an, Sichuan, which is the hometown of Deng Xiaoping, for 20 Pepsico Rural Libraries. <\/p>\n
The CNY200,000 will go to 20 different villages for the construction of libraries with books and audio-visual materials on planting and breeding technologies, grassroots democracy, rural commerce and entertainment. <\/p>\n
The initiative is also the expansion of the Pepsico library project which plans to build Pepsico libraries in Inner Mongolia and Hebei where Pepsico farms are located. To date, Pepsico has built three Pepsico libraries in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, Guyuan, Hebei, and Zhanjiang in Guangdong. The company is planning to donate CNY300,000 to build more libraries in Inner Mongolia and Guangxi this year.<\/p>\n
