{"id":3231,"date":"2008-09-26T03:29:40","date_gmt":"2008-09-25T19:29:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/?p=3231"},"modified":"2008-09-26T10:03:43","modified_gmt":"2008-09-26T02:03:43","slug":"first-fedex-cares-week-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/2008\/09\/26\/3231-first-fedex-cares-week-in-china\/","title":{"rendered":"First FedEx Cares Week In China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For a week in late September, over 250 volunteers from FedEx China participated in several community initiatives in six Chinese cities.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Projects included refurbishing schools for disabled children, donating clothes and books for poverty-stricken areas, visiting the elderly in nursing homes, taking children from SOS Children's Villages to the zoo, and taking care of animals.<\/p>\n<p>Chen Jialiang, president of FedEx China, said the FedEx Cares Week showed FedEx's spirit of contribution, unity, and cooperation. <\/p>\n<p>FedEx Cares Week was first launched in the US in 2005 and more than 3,000 employees in 45 cities worldwide participated in this year's initiative.
