The Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business has made its social responsibility report public for the first time.<\/p>\n
The first social responsibility report ever released by a Chinese mainland business school, CKGSB's 2008 Social Responsibility Report gives an interpretation of the school's understanding of social responsibility and details the school's social responsibility achievements in 2008. <\/p>\n
The report, which is more than 40,000 characters long in Chinese and English, covers CKGSB's philosophy, approach, and practices with respect to social responsibility.<\/p>\n
The report shows that CKGSB's faculties and students donated CNY4,943,034.5 to the victims of the Sichuan earthquake. CKGB's alumni donated another CNY429,886,047.80 for the earthquake relief, accounting for 7% of the total donation made by Chinese enterprises.<\/p>\n
Besides publishing the report, CKGSB will also submit the report to the Chinese Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, the All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce, the China Enterprise Confederation, and the Red Cross Society of China.<\/p>\n
