Chongqing police have closed 529 illegal entertainment service providers during a special campaign conducted on entertainment venues, bath houses, and Internet cafes.<\/p>\n
Chongqing's entertainment, bathing, and Internet cafe businesses have been growing rapidly in recent years. However, some of the venues have brought about hidden troubles and social problems such as pornography, gambling, drugs, and violence due to poor safety and management practices.<\/p>\n
In the 50-day campaign, the police abolished 348 electronic games sites and asked 404 more to suspend business and rectify their problems.
