The Shanghai Municipal Labor Department has revealed the names of ten companies who violated the Labor Law in 2005.<\/p>\n
The ten companies are Shanghai Jingxuan Plastic Produces Company, Shanghai Yayuan Hatting Company, Shanghai Shenwei Laoli Zhi Pin Company, Shanghai Fuxing Metal Craftwork Company, Shanghai Huashang Clothing Company, Shanghai Yongquan Shoes Company, Cainafunuo Wood Company, Shanghai Xinweisheng Pharmaceutical, Xinweisheng Machinery Company, and Shanghai Tianzhong Embroidery Company.<\/p>\n
These companies broke the Labor Law by delaying workers' salaries, not paying social insurance, and prolonging their work time without pay.<\/p>\n
The labor department says that it has published the names of these companies to showcase how the government is helping to end violations of workers' rights.<\/p>\n
The Shanghai Municipal Labor Department's statistics show that in 2005, the Shanghai Labor Safeguard Supervision Department received about 23,000 cases, investigated 40,000 companies and found 1,5000 companies that broke the law. About RMB49 million had been recuperated for workers' losses and around 600,000 workers have been involved.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
