Beijing has launched a baby ambulance as a special Children's Day gift for newborn babies.<\/p>\n
Called the Mobile Neonate Intensive Care Ward, the ambulance is said to be the first of its kind in Beijing. Zhang Yongli, the director of the 120 Emergency Command Center, stated that due to a lack of professional newborn baby emergency equipment, the work of transferring newborn babies from maternity hospitals to children's hospitals was often not done smoothly in the past.<\/p>\n
Involving a total investment of up to CNY1 million, the new ambulance is equipped with special emergency equipment such as a neonatal breathing machine, a neonatal incubator, medical devices, a neonatal laryngoscope, and an endotracheal tube. Zhang said these medical devices can help to closely monitor the condition of newborn babies so timely measures could be taken to treat the babies effectively. In addition, the ambulance has an electric power supply to consistently charge the neonatal incubator. <\/p>\n
