Beijing will ask website publishers, editors, and webmasters in the city to register in their real names in an effort to prevent improper online content.<\/p>\n

The city will strictly control the number of Internet Cafes this year. In addition, the Beijing municipal public security department will work with the relevant city departments to develop software for network users–including Internet cafes, schools and family users–to filter out harmful online information free of charge.<\/p>\n

In addition, Beijing will recruit about 10,000 voluntary Internet cafe supervisors to monitor Internet cafes and help remove pornographic content.<\/p>\n
