The China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation has formally initiated a program to provide fund assistance to 10,000 people who live in extreme poverty in China.<\/p>\n
It is learned that CFPA will select the 10,000 qualified beneficiaries from across China and offer each of them CNY3,000 to help with their lives. This is said to be the charity event of CFPA that involves the largest expenditure this year.<\/p>\n
Li Li, the vice secretary general of CFPA, disclosed that the money was donated by a company who wanted to help 10,000 economically disadvantaged people.<\/p>\n
CFPA plans to give the money to 1,000 orphans, 1,000 senior citizens, 1,000 disabled people, 1,000 ill persons, 1,000 farmers, 1,000 intellectuals, 1,000 college students, 1,000 teachers, 1,000 migrant workers, and 1,000 laid-off workers.
