According to South Metropolitan Daily, the personal data of more than 1,000 employees of IBM Shenzhen has been used to apply for credit cards.<\/p>\n
It was reported that following the use of personal data belonging their colleagues in Dalian, employees of IBM Shenzhen and other Chinese cities also found that their personal information had been stolen and used without their knowledge to apply for credit cards at a Bank of China outlet in Beijing.<\/p>\n
It was reported that a Beijing-based company, which is a suppliers to IBM, had applied for the credit cards, which are called Foreign Enterprise Joint Name Cards, for the employees.<\/p>\n
Though the BOC outlet stated that it did not issue the credit cards because there was no employee's signature on the application forms, an employee from IBM said that his card had already been used.<\/p>\n
