During a special campaign on automobile exhaust gases pollution, the Xi'an environment department prosecuted 560 automobiles for excessive gas emissions and blacklisted 35 of them for heavy pollution.<\/p>\n
Recently, the Xi'an environment department and the transportation management department jointly carried out a special campaign against exhaust gas pollution from vehicles, focusing on special vehicles from driving schools, transport companies, and supermarkets as well as ordinary vehicles. So far, they have detained 560 vehicles that failed to meet the emission standard, of which 113 are reported to have emitted black smoke. Most of these polluting vehicles were owned by driving schools, and the rest were old diesel powered buses and coaches.<\/p>\n
