With the approval of China's Ministry of Culture, a unified KTV music storage system will be initiated on trial basis in Wuhan, Zhengzhou and Qingdao in an effort to regulate the music content of the KTV market.<\/p>\n

Liang Gang, director of the Cultural Market Development Center of the Ministry of Culture, says that the setup of this system aims to prevent \"unhealthy\" songs from entering the KTV establishments and will gradually solve the copyright conflicts among the disc producers, copyright owners and KTV operators.<\/p>\n

The new system is a comprehensive information platform that contains only legal songs and music that can be stored in the system for customers to order. Meanwhile, each song can be monitored for the amount of times it is played, and then the copyright owners can be paid their royalties.<\/p>\n

Liang says that the use of this system will protect the rights and interests of both copyright owners and operators. It is free to use the system, but downloading music will be charged.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
