{"id":6195,"date":"2009-09-25T03:29:53","date_gmt":"2009-09-24T19:29:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/?p=6195"},"modified":"2009-09-24T09:10:27","modified_gmt":"2009-09-24T01:10:27","slug":"nec-cuts-staff-in-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/2009\/09\/25\/6195-nec-cuts-staff-in-china\/","title":{"rendered":"NEC Cuts Staff In China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan-based NEC is planning to reorganize its workforce in China.<\/p>\n<p>Jin Zizhao, president of NEC China, announced that NEC (China) Company Ltd, NEC Information System (China) Company Ltd, and NEC Advanced Software Technology (Beijing) Company Ltd, three wholly-owned companies of NEC in China, will be integrated into a new company and the reorganization will be carried out in October 2009 and completed in April 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The new company will be responsible for NEC's software and communications business in China.<\/p>\n<p>At present, NEC has about 2,000 employees in Beijing. It is said that NEC will cut its workforce by about 25% during this business reshuffle which aims to help the company cut costs in the face of the financial crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, NEC has 71 affiliated companies in China with a total of 16,000 employees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Japan-based NEC is planning to reorganize its workforce in China.
