China's State Food and Drug Administration has issued a circular that asks for the recall of substandard batches of chloramphenicol eye drops made by Tianjin Wanjia Pharmaceutical Company.<\/p>\n
It is learned from the Tianjin Municipal Food and Drug Administration that, during an inspection in 2009, 16 batches of chloramphenicol eye drops made by Tianjin Wanjia were found to be substandard due to particle content. So far, TMFDA has ordered the company to recall all the eye drops involved.<\/p>\n
It is understood that eye drops containing chloramphenicol are mainly used to treat conjunctivitis, trachoma, keratitis, and blepharitis ciliaris. Because of its relatively low price, it is a fast-selling medicine.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
