Mei Dewen, the general manager of the China Beijing Environment Exchange, has announced the launch of the China Carbon Neutral Alliance in Beijing.<\/p>\n
Reported to be the first of its kind in China, CCNA not only asks enterprises to reduce emissions, but also achieve carbon neutrality. Therefore, it poses a much stricter requirement for a company's carbon initiative than the voluntary emission reduction initiative launched by the Tianjin Climate Exchange in September 2009.<\/p>\n
According to Bi Jianzhong, the principal of CCNA, CCNA will soon begin to recruit members; and companies that have a clear carbon emission schedule are eligible to join the alliance.<\/p>\n
It is learned that CCNA will be combined with the Panda Standard released earlier to call on companies to reduce emissions. In addition, the China Technology Exchange will provide technology support to the alliance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
