{"id":7241,"date":"2010-03-08T03:30:26","date_gmt":"2010-03-07T19:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/?p=7241"},"modified":"2010-03-07T21:31:03","modified_gmt":"2010-03-07T13:31:03","slug":"ge-healthcare-china-in-labor-dispute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/2010\/03\/08\/7241-ge-healthcare-china-in-labor-dispute\/","title":{"rendered":"GE Healthcare China In Labor Dispute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zhou Li, a former employee of GE Healthcare China, has filed a lawsuit against GE Healthcare over a disputed contract.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to local media reports, Zhou previously worked as software engineer at GE Healthcare China, and GE Healthcare asked him to resign with the reported excuse that he had violated the company's cpolicy by providing false information in his resume after he asked for leave because of a gastric hemorrhage on July 3, 2008.<\/p>\n<p>Although both Zhou's direct supervisor and the human resources manager of GE Healthcare denied that they had forced Zhou to resign at that time, Zhou is suing GE Healthcare, which he asserts had broken the rule on non-fixed-time work by defining his work as a software engineer as non-fixed-time work in the labor contract signed between the two parties.<\/p>\n<p>Zhou said that GE Healthcare had apparently agreed to negotiate with him and offered to pay him some compensation under the condition that he did not disclose their discussions to the public, but he turned down this offer.
