{"id":7288,"date":"2010-03-15T03:31:29","date_gmt":"2010-03-14T19:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/?p=7288"},"modified":"2010-03-12T14:57:30","modified_gmt":"2010-03-12T06:57:30","slug":"new-measures-for-water-conservation-on-the-yellow-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.chinacsr.com\/en\/2010\/03\/15\/7288-new-measures-for-water-conservation-on-the-yellow-river\/","title":{"rendered":"New Measures For Water Conservation On The Yellow River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>News from the Yellow River Conservancy Commission is that the commission will set up a water utility efficiency control line to enhance the management of water use and restrict the waste of water.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>A representative from YRCC told the media that YRCC will strictly review the water resource feasibility reports of various construction projects in an effort to limit high-water-consumption landscape or industrial projects, manage water resources and improve water-use efficiency from the source.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, YRCC will promote water conservation with three measures: urging local government to adopt water-saving irrigation technology to increase water use efficiency; carrying out water rights allocation and transition polices; and setting up a water rights trading market to facilitate the optimum efficiency of water use.<\/p>\n<p>At present, the water usage rate of the Yellow River has reached 79%. With the progress of the development of western China, water use for industrial programs is expected to increase dramatically.
