Global Sources' annual Salary and Career Development Survey shows electronic engineers in mainland China receive average annual salaries of US$7,708.

\n75% recently received pay increases averaging 11%; and 59% received performance-based bonuses averaging US$1,724.<\/p>\n
A total of 2,682 electronic engineers responded to the survey conducted by Global Sources publication Electronic Engineering Times-China. Benefits offered as part of compensation packages include:
\n– Pension plans — received by 75% of electronic engineers
\n– Medical\/health insurance — 72%
\n– Life insurance — 44%
\n– Food and beverage allowance — 41%<\/p>\n
Respondents are typically 30 years old and work 47 hours a week. 28% work in consumer electronics, 21% in
\ncommunications, 10% in industrial controls and 9% in computer systems and peripherals.<\/p>\n
Cash income and skills development top criteria in evaluating job opportunities for these workers. In evaluating new employment opportunities, electronic engineers rated total cash income the most important factor with a rating of 4.5 on a five-point scale.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
