China's State Food and Drug Administration has published a report on the adverse reactions to drug use.<\/p>\n
As the first of its kind in China, the report is a summary of all the cases of adverse reactions that occurred in China in 2009. It shows that China received a total of 638,996 reports on the bad reactions to drug use in the year. Of these most were related to anti-infection drugs.<\/p>\n
Most of the reports were said to have been made by medical institutions. Of these 86.7% were made on synthetic medicines and 13.3% on Chinese herbal medicines.<\/p>\n
Of the total reports, 55.2% were made on anti-infection medicines, and this is followed by reports on medicines for cardiovascular disorders, which accounted for 7.6% of the reports.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
